Ronnie Moore is our Ambassador and Head Coach at Wickersley Youth. Ronnie has 45 years experience as a professional football player and manager. He has a distinguished 18 year playing career and has managed professional clubs including Oldham Athletic, Tranmere Rovers and Rotherham United. He is a well respected and highly qualified football coach and holds a Football League Coaching Diploma and a UEFA A Licence.
Ronnie lives in Wickersley and is an integral member of our local community, often taking time out to support local sports clubs and charities. He is actively involved in delivering coaching sessions to children and young people across Rotherham. He is keen to put his vast knowledge and experience to good use to support children and young people at Wickersley Youth to improve their physical, social and cognitive development, health and well being.
Ronnie says : ‘It is an honour to be the Head Coach at Wickersley Youth. It is a fantastic Community based Club and I intend to use my experience as a professional player and coach to move the Club forward by developing players and coaches alike. First and foremost junior football should be about having fun and I intend to make sure that kids I coach enjoy playing football .’
