Wickersley Youth U12 Girls Bessacarr Tournament Winners 2017
A massive well done to our Wickersley Youth under 12 girls, who this weekend won the Bessacarr Tournament.
Under the management of Geoff Swann and Oliver Dean, the girls played some tremendous football winning all 8 matches and only conceding one goal in the process.
The girls played 6 group games against Dearne, Barnsley, Rotherham, Aldwick, Bessacarr and Steel City winning all 6 scoring 13 and conceding 1.
They then beat Dearne in the semi final 2-0 with both goals from Martha Roper.
The girls then played a very talented Barnsley ladies in the final, again winning 2-0 with goals from Katie Curtis amd Lillia Oldfield.
All 13 girls were tremendous throughout the day and it was real squad effort.
Well done girls, keep up the good work.
